Sacred geometry or "Sacred G"?

Many of you may have come across "Sacred G" aka: http://www.youtube.com/user/wishforlovespace on Youtube, and his website http://coryherter.com/

First, i havent yet done a thorough search in here on this particular topic, so i dont know if you already are discussing him and what he does.

I've just joined up with youtubeuser dannypantsgm on this matter and have been writing mails to different professors of geometry asking for their opinion of Cory's scientific approach to geometry / set aside his pseudoscience, but just a closer study of what he states.

Its part of steps in exposing him and his business methods.


Please take a look at him and tell me what you think, and any advices and help in this matter of debunk will be appreciated.

I didn't watch any of his videos (I've had enough bullshit for today) but did take a quick glance at his website. And it looks like he has provided 5 ways to test this "Sacred G" nonsense.

At the bottom of the page there are 5 tests:
- water test
- sleep test
- food test
- temperature test
- full body energy cleanse

Carry out those tests scientifically and that should be more than enough to debunk him. :geek:

He starts by comparing a shack in the slums and a palace. And states that there is a connection between how you feel and where you are, which is true but it is psychological. I was in a hospital last month and felt like a million bucks when the doctor told me my 1.5 years old nephew's operation went well. If I live in a palace and the doctor comes to tell me something bad... As for the testing of the physical properties of different in structure physical objects.


Is this mythbusters test relevant to what this guy is talking about.

Thats part of what he's saying, yes, and it is psychological evident, its placebo. No, the stuf he sells are deffinately not cheap, but his pseudoscience in geometry is and should be called for a little further investigation.

The 5 tests are surely up for further testing, and they should be. Who do we have?

Anyone who is ignorant and gullible enough to pay 300$ for a bedset simply because it has a geometrical, pattern on it, deserves to be ripped off. I have no sympathy.
However, Cory Herter should be ashamed of himself for basically lying to and stealing from the aforementioned idiots. Obviously a man with no conscience whatsoever.

I'm really tiered of wasting my time on debunking everysingle wishy washy claims. For no matter how much you try to destroy all the bull out there, there will allways be more deluded people with wishy washy crap. Perhaps we should make a work about logic and knowledge in general and show that it alone debunks all pseudo-science (it may be by far easier then to go to everysingle crap out there and make a personalized answer), and let people work it out for themselves.

It won't work. Sadly, many people are simply too unintelligent to be capable of doing it themselves. If it sounds good it must be true, the only way for them to realize it's not is to tell them something that sounds even better and resonates with the little bit of critical thinking they have, and even then it's not always going to work. I know, my mother is a pseudoscience fanatic, I have to do this in real life and I almost always lose.

I can totally relate to your replys. Yet we see e.g VenomfangX exposed, Randi (and co.) converting people every day to sense instead of non-sense etc.

Exposing their scam or pseudo-science is the only cure, though it is hard work.


Update; i've so far written a dusin of mails to various professors and doctors of different departments around the world askin for some help on this matter.

If you know any experts, scholars or have any acquaintance who wish to help out, please let them.


A proffesional and scientific approach would be the right way to debunk Cory, a bunch of funny ad hominem videos wouldn't do a thing. And because Cory is sincere and himself very scientific and directly promise garanties for his products, its a serious business and a serious matter.

In this clip Cory talks about vibrations and DNA


I remember a study earlier, Cymatics i think it was, though it was regarding sound waves, it shows that the respons of DNA actually is opposite of what Cory is telling us.
He shows that pain and suffering gives us high frequent ration in DNA, where's the lower frequencies is related to love and happy emotions etc.
Other research and study such as Cymatics had shown that happy emotions should have rapidly and broad peak-points in frequencies, where's fear e.g makes them lower in freq.
Please correct me if im wrong!?

LOL Yes I can relate, my mother is FULLY inoculated against thinking and has been since her divorce. She has spent literally tens of thousands of dollars over the last two decades on woo woo treatments and wacky books, meetings, and seminars.

At all of these meetings, it is stressed that thinking for yourself and asking questions creates a 'negative energy' which, I'm assuming, is a bad thing (although it's never been made clear why). Furthermore, newage people are far harder to debate than other religious folks. Your Abrahamic theists have things they do believe, and things they don't - things they think are TRUE, and things they think are FALSE. This means that you can (hypothetically) move something from the TRUE category to the FALSE category in their worldview.

Newagers, however, do not even have a FALSE category; they literally think that everything (even contradictions) are possible, and therefore true. To imply that any conceivable thing is in the FALSE category (or even to imply that this category itself exists) is to be "negative."

In regards to all new age followers being close minded and told to never think for themselves, I've only ever found the opposite of this. You should never have to pay for spirituality because if you do then that means you're in a cult, which is idiotic. If anyone is interested there is another youtube channel that teaches about sacred geometry and other pseudosciences in a very logical way (although some of their theories are bubkus, they are entertaining to listen to)

At first, it sounds like new age bullcrap, with ancient egyptians and pyramids, but he actually shows his work. Bear with him. Don't just shut it off because you think it's the same rhetoric. After watching this series, the only thing I felt the need to purchase was a new compass, which I've actually been meaning to anyway for my regular geometry class.

It lost me when it told me to imagine a spirit with a consciousness that was external of itself. I don't think consciousness works that way, or spirits can manifest in physical space, or... well.. that there are even spirits in the first place. If your premises are this flawed, there is no way your conclusion can be anything other than laughable.

Edit: Finally made it all the way through, and at the end he uses faked crop circles as proof of aliens. How can anyone take anything in this seriously?
