Roe v Wade

Abortion needs to be legal. There is no need to bring more unwanted kids into the world. The republicans want us to have a stroke over a clump of cells and be happy when babies are thrown into dumpsters, born to drug addicts, born into financially unstable homes, born to single mothers who can't handle themselves let alone a kid, and be happy when unwanted kids suffer in every way do. Lets not care about kids in foster care or up for adoption. Lets not care about the kids who suffer all the abuse and never recover from it. As someone who suffered A LOT from my parents, I can honestly say, I should have been aborted or given up for adoption. I haven't recovered from all the abuse, and with how long its been since it happened, I know I never will. Its not even emotional damage only. When those pieces of shit died everything was left to me. My aunts and uncles stole everything I had and that was left to me and what they didn't steal was robbed by the local crack heads. 2 houses, land, a big ass garage, a barn, cars, an at home library full of books, antiques, etc. I was tossed around a couple times. I can't recall ever living anywhere stable or for longer than 2 or 3 years at a time. I was homeless at 16. Been homeless more than once. I have woke up at 12 am in a puddle of rain on a 39F night. I have dealt with a lot of shit. I can trace the blame back to my parents and relatives. Now, because of the brainless republicans we have destroying our country, more will suffer a similar fate that I have, unless we undo the damage they have done. It isn't just me who has suffered. My sister has suffered, at the hands of my dad, her dad, our mom, and countless others both relatives and non-relatives. The stories of parents sexually abusing their kids or selling their kids bodies to others to sexually abuse are real. They do happen. Many bad things happen to kids. Shouldn't we be trying to make adoption easier, improving the conditions of foster homes, and doing things to help kids who are here and alive? Banning abortion will not make people who want kids have more kids. All it will do is make those who don't want kids, or can't raise them, or will abuse them, have them.

If its illegal to do an abortion within 40 years they will be sorry they did it. The reason is that the population grows extra need more resources but after 18+ years the extra population creates extra population. This is not even including the woman that are going to be traumatized by a pregnancy and families that do not have enough money to take care off children. Resources would be food, healthcare, psychology, water, money, CPS etc.

No, we won't be sorry.

Great logic there. Bad things happen, so we have to kill people before they are born to keep the bad things from happening to them.

Yes you will be sorry if abortion is going to illegal you can not sustain extra people. Lets say you still have 250k abortions a year, because of illness or other things going on. Abortions that will be born would be around the 500.000 so in 40 years you speak at least 20 million people (not correct you‘ll need to calculate deaths over the years). Now factor in births after 16 years (US has high teen pregnancies) its 3.75 per million. Because how its going in the US you’ll get poor people that are financially unstable meaning they will put a strain on resources. Forget adoptions its 135.000 per year in the US (Of non- stepparent adoptions, about 59% are from the child welfare (or foster) system, 26% are from other countries, and 15% are voluntarily relinquished American babies). So the 135.000 needs to be 100.000 from the US only that get adopted, but at least 23.000 washout from foster care each year. A few million you are not going to notice but 15 million or more that will have an impact. You will need for corn 10 plants per person for a year on an acre you can plant around 30 to 35k corn plants so per acre you can feed 3250 people with ease. So a million people you’ll need 300 acres per year extra to feed them. Water for the plants is 600.000 gallons per acre so thats an extra 180.000.000 gallons of water for the 300 acres. Thats not even extra beef, dairy, chickens, pork and more, water use about 80 gallons of drinking water per day.

People think great no more abortions but have no clue of long term implications. Would i see every child be born yes but its not realistic the implications are to great, what if the woman cant take care of it, in the foster care well that not a solution. What about the woman health and mental state if she needs to give birth or what if the child has an illness that being born would be so hard on the child it will suffer.

Like i said the implications long term are overlooked easily, short term you will be fine for the first few years.

There's like a million different arguments for why abortion not only is (at least where I live), but needs to be legal. There's another million about the morality aspect. Pro-life arguments are pretty easy to refute if you spend more than 17 seconds thinking about the topic.

Ahh..so it's the ol' "Not enough corn" argumentation, eh? The only thing worse than a Christian doomsayer is an atheist one.
Besides isn't the population supposed to level off at about 10 billion? I think we already produce enough food to feed 10 billion.

How about this, lets just not kill unborn babies on purpose? Can we just not do that? Even if its hard to not kill them on purpose, even if Borg thinks there is not enough corn, lets just not do it.

How about that? Is that ok?

That's not an argument, of any sort, it's not even a natural language argument. It's a question, and it's also a strawman. Early term abortions are not "killing unborn babies".

Do you have any other questions?

Why? "killing unborn BABIES" isn't what early term abortions are, and this thread is about abortions. It's not about "murdering children for no reason" or "savagely stabbing innocent beings" or any other such crap the pro-life brigade usually like to spin it as. If you want to start a thread about "Smashing kiddies skulls in with a baseball bat" or anything similar, you can do that, but this one is about abortion.

Its not only corn but everything corn is easy to picture in the resources used. Cows, chickens and pigs for example are harder to picture in resources, also cows are garbage cans what we cant eat from corn they can, also cows are resources in three ways milk and meat and other stuff like glue, medication. Can we feed all the people on this earth yes with ease but here is the issue the western countries have most resources and the best ground, where there is hunger not enough resources. But what is worse you need resources like healthcare, CPS and much more.

The Pro-Life brigade has no issue with trying to prevent a women's choice. however when it comes to providing support services after the birth of the child they are nowhere to be found. I also suspect these many of these same people have no issue with the death penalty. I think it horrible what is happening to women's rights in the U.S.A. these days. I'd bet some of the Pro-lifers will be coming after birth control next.

Yeah I understand what you mean, insomuch that it is good to point out that there are many things consider which might easily be overlooked when making determinations concerning resources.

I am not sure what this means. If someone just gave me a baby out of no where I would of course do whatever I could to protect it and take care of it. I suspect you would do the same..
