I'm an evolutionary biology major but I'm still waiting to transfer out of community college and to a University somewhere so in the meantime I read as many popular science books as I can. I feel they'll be a good introduction to the courses I'll be taking.
Currently I'm on chapter 4. I really enjoyed the first two chapters, (the introduction that provides the book's thesis and then an overview of one of theories of the origin of life) but I feel the like the third chapter can be a bit overwhelming. It's all about the details of the storage of DNA and I feel that Dawkins lays a ton of information on you WAY too fast. I know that I'll be reading "The Selfish Gene" again sometime in the future so I've got plenty of chances to understand it more fully, but still....oh well hopefully that means I'm being challenged and I'll be better prepared for the stuff in college or something. "On the Origin of Species" was easier reading than this lol!
