Police Use of Force Analysis NSFW

Justified. Also a good example of why you don't want to call "mental health" in order to remove a crazy.

Not justified. Conflicting orders given. Incompetent handling of an "armed" suspect. Suspect should be forced against the wall facing away from police so that he threat of gunshot against the cops is minimized. Suspects should then be placed in handcuffs. Search conducted.

During the 911 call the caller said that these suspects were armed with a long gun which turned out to be a pellet rifle. Obviously if the call was made about concerns over a long gun and the long gun isn't present on the people in question then obviously that particular piece of information is inaccurate.

Justified Shooting. There is a presence of a firearm and getting hit with a successful taser deployment would mean incapacitating the cop and possibly having a firearm stolen. Don't want to be hurt? Don't be a criminal and don't resist arrest.

Same Cop Reinstated after fatally shooting car thief. Very odd that such a clear cut case of lawful force and still the prosecutor still wanted to charge him a second time.

Very odd unexplained shooting. A guy basically had a freakout without explanation. Things to learn: don't use promag drum magazines they are not reliable / don't limp wrist like a pussy. Seems like 0 fatalities.

Ok I think these are quite enough examples for the time being, let's see if anyone wants to discuss them before posting any more.

It kinda seems like you think the police are the only Americans in these videos. The people the police are shooting have rights too! Nothing in this video shows any reason for the police to start bothering the guy in first place. And they ended up killing him.

"APD officer Devin Brosnan was responding to a complaint that a man (Brooks) was asleep in a car blocking a Wendy's restaurant drive-through lane. At the scene, Brosnan radioed for assistance, and Rolfe arrived some minutes later. Rolfe conducted a breathalyzer exam which indicated that Brooks's blood-alcohol content was above the legal limit for driving.

Rolfe and Brosnan began to handcuff Brooks, and Brooks grabbed Brosnan's taser and attempted to run away. Rolfe pursued Brooks on foot, and Brooks turned and fired the taser toward Rolfe's head. Rolfe then fired his weapon three times at Brooks, hitting him twice. A third shot struck an occupied car. Brooks died after surgery."

They were there for a suspicious person call and the drunk person refused to be arrested. The man resisted arrest after blowing well above the legal limit. The suspect then disarmed the taser after the police attempted to make an arrest. I for one will not be incapacited by my own taser I will use a firearm as felony resisting arrest is what this IS.

Do you want them to enforce the law or not?

Probably not lol. Seems like people are reeling from the amount of dumb people that bring police action against themselves.
I feel sorry for you because you are an American and have probably never had the experience of living in so many other nice counties in the world where the police don't act like dangerous cocksuckers and the dont have cities where 100 people get murdered every weekend like in the US.

In one second I can think of several different ways to handle this situation which would not have involved someones death. Why didn't the cop just give the guy a ride home? They get paid enough money to do things like that..

Any American who thinks that the police are their friend is living in a fucking fantasy world.

That would be called malfeasance and the cop would be arrested for not doing his job. It is a REQUIREMENT to make an arrest of someone driving under the influence.

The suspect drove drunk and then passed out in line at the drive through. He then moved over the first time when approached then the police arrived.

It is simple do not drive drunk and if you break the law be prepared for the consequences. Or do you believe that people shouldn't be arrested for driving drunk?

The irony here is that the suspect escalated the situation. If he had let them arrest him then he would be granted due process rights. Because he escalated and was a dumb fuck he's dead - Darwin Award.

The irony here is that you're a fucking moron. You act like the cop is hero for shooting someone who it seems was passed out drunk in a car in a Burger King parking lot. The police in the US are idiots who kill Americans. Such a simple situation would not have resulted in a death in Germany.

Do you even realize someone in that video is dead now? That kid is dead now. What kind of monster are you?

We all need to cease with the personal attacks, it's fine to express that you vehemently disagree with someone's position - that's exactly what this forum is for, but let's just tone it down a little and concentrate on the arguments being presented please.
