"No matter what they do" - that would be a false premise.
Well, how about this; the reason why Christian pro-lifers started video recording their demonstrations is because the police always lie and say they attacked someone or were standing in the wrong spot. Any lie you could think of so they could arrest one of them.

Yet this same pro-lifers always say bullshit like "cops are heros" and we should respect their authority and so on. Why is that?

I'm not going to give comment on Christian pro lifers as that is sort of off topic regarding the perception of ill intent and ill action made by the police. That is like giving an opinion to justify an opinion. if I don't agree with said opinion specific to the context then it is irrelevant to me.

As to the argument of cops are heroes I believe is true. The majority of police act within the scope of the law/policy. The minority of cops or cop action is the exception and not the rule. If you want to argue police as a minority are fuck ups then fine. But if someone says cops are fuck ups then I assume in the direction of the MAJORITY which is false.

I know tons of cops and even recently they arrested people committing forcible felonies which in my book makes them heroes. They put themselves in considerable risk for not much pay. If cops did not do what they are supposed to do then the world gets more dangerous as a generality.
