Re: Modern democracy
I'm not sure how to say this without sounding provocative, but this really rings false and wildly ironic coming from anywhere on the Right (not you in particular).
Sure, Left wing media has plenty of issues with bias, sometimes not so openly, which some might prefer, but the Right seems to have pretty much invented both fake news, AND the labelling of actual, non-fake news as "fake news". Thanks for THAT contribution to society, Trump.
Beyond that, you have a category that basically goes way past fake news, and that's... insane news, or whatever one would call it. I would definitely lump Infowards in there. Alex Jones clearly, clearly has actual mental issues, and as the default position, I would never trust ANYthing he has to say.
Something coming from him, say, like a raw video of something, might warrant further investigation, but not taken as fact. I suppose the one positive thing one could say about him, is that at least he's open with his position and biases.
However, that just means he shouldn't be considered a news organization, but an opinion outlet.
I know that you can't wash your hands clean in other people's dirt, but I honestly do think these problems are worse on the Right.

Lots of people are doing it now on YouTube and some already have 6 figure subs. That includes people from all political sides.
I really hate it when the mainstream media crudely dismisses them as "fake news" as if they never put out deliberate disinformation.
I would even go as far as to say you shouldn't automatically dismiss more conspiratorial sites like Infowars either. Sure there's a lot of crazy stuff there, but you also get video footage sometimes and you can't refute that. Doesn't matter if Infowars filmed it. Also they tend to be correct on the Constitution. Despite all his crazy ranting, Alex Jones was 100% correct on the 2nd amendment.
