he_who_is_nobody made a post in contributor's subforum nagging Dean to approve his blog post so I thought it'd be unfair because I had a head start.

I know, I'm a force to be reckoned with when it comes to fossils either way

I found images that were very similar to the one posted by the Torturer. Are they casts or replicas or is the one in the picture a replica?

http://www.palaeocritti.com/by-group/pterosauria/rhamphorhynchus - the fossil in the picture looks the same as the one posted in the challenge, doesn't it?

Nice catch. That specimen is indeed a replica. Lots of specimens ones see on display at museums are replicas.
