Jobs

arg-fallbackName="evilotakuneko"/>
Ohai.

I came out of lurking just to ask, how exactly does this get me a job?

Por ejemplo: I live in SEZ A and am unemployed. If the land my house sits on is given to SEZ B by the voters, how does this get me a job? As a resident of zone A, was I not allowed to apply for jobs in zone B, but now that I am suddenly a resident of zone B I can? Will someone from zone B come to my door after the change and say, "Hey, I see you are unemployed. Have a list of jobs available in our zone" and hand me a list? What if there are no jobs in my field in either zone?

Also hi League of Reason.

The voters selected to become part of SEZ/region B because there are more jobs there.
The reason there are more jobs is because the manager of region B
is working harder to make more jobs.

You can have one of those jobs.

The manager of region A was not bothering to improve things, so region A
went out of business and the land became part of region B.

That's how competition works, it makes things better. We can see the same thing as stores/shops compete to offer better service (no shortages) to the customers.

You are a customer of the regions, and the regions will offer you better service and better everything than you are getting now.

Stores/shops don't have shortages of products because they have to compete,
and:
regions will have no job shortages because they also have to compete.

And these are regions, not SEZ's. There are a lot of advantages over special economic zones.

SEZ's have already improved the economy where they are used.
For what possible reason would we not want more of this?

Any group (within reason) can start their own region on undeveloped land, which adds more choices.
A zeitgeist region could form and have no job shortages because they automate everything and give everybody what they need.

Zeitgeist is not for everybody, but people should have the right to self determination and get to live as they choose, instead of being forced to live in a system that doesn't work for them.

This is why we should have a bunch of regions, so everybody can live as they choose in a region of their choice.

If you have everything you need, would you please help get this started so it will benefit the people who don't have everything they need?

If you were running the world, would you force people to stay in a system they don't want, or would you give them the right to self determination?

Do you know how many people would prefer zeitgeist?

How many people currently living in a slum, would stay there if they had more choices?

That doesn't really answer my question. However....
zeitgeist
I doubt I'll ever get a satisfactory answer.

I think I'm done here. Well, at least in this thread.

Right now, the people managing everything can ignore a certain percentage of the unemployed.
And they do.

If we implement regions, then a group of unemployed people can make a new region that doesn't ignore anybody. Nobody would get left out.

Zeitgeist is only one possible region.

There are a lot of other possible regions that people could form, including libertarian and about a thousand more.

If you could choose any system, what would it be?

How many atoms does it take to change a light bulb?

Seven. One to change the bulb, and six to preserve the memory of
the old light bulb.
