Can sleep paralysis truly be induced?
I've been performing some experiments on my sleeping habits recently and found very intriguing results.
One experiment alleges it can be induced step by step,
I have not tested this yet.
A similar experiment I performed on myself involved manipulating and confusing sensory input. I have a bed that vibrates so it made this experiment much easier.
Lay down in bed, turn on vibration mechanism with a fifteen minute timer to automaticallly turn off.
Relax and lay still while attempting to move your limbs "with your mind". Do not in fact move your limbs.
This seems to focus your mind on the state of your limbs even while not moving.
Ignore every inclination to move, be it from an itch or otherwise.
Attempt to focus on anything but your limbs. This will be difficult with the bed vibrating.
Once the bed stops vibrating, your limbs should seemingly vanish. Do not move.
Remember to breathe. The first time I did this, my heart was racing after the bed stopped vibrating.
An amazing feeling.
Let me know how goes for you. Input welcome.

One experiment alleges it can be induced step by step,
Go to sleep
Wake up a couple of hours earlier than you normally would
Go back to bed and try to sleep
Whenever you feel you are falling asleep, open your eyes and look up. Do this a few times.
You will get to the point where you wake up and your body is still asleep.
I have not tested this yet.
