Illuminati symbolism (Doritos crisps)

There are allsorts of illuminati symbolism (or alleged symbolism) right in front of us ie. music videos, advertising etc. I used to be a skeptic until I seen it and questioned it more and more. Ok, seeing one or two things may be a coincidence, but constantly seeing things all over the media and other places I began to wonder how so many things can be a coincidence.. Today I noticed something and on searching online I couldn't find anything relating to it on any conspiracy site or youtube or anywhere else, so I wonder if Im the only person who's noticed it.. On a jar of Doritos 'Mild Salsa' dip, on the label there is a graphic of a crisp, a green pepper and a tomato; Looking closely, on the tomato there are a scattering of black 'streak' marks, which have no relevance to the crisps or dip, so I wondered why they were part of the design. I then noticed that some of these black streaks (from left to right) resemble the letters I Y S V (the 'V' is smaller and slightly above the S).. I typed IYSV into google and it stands for 'Iris Yellow Spot Virus' / Tospovirus which affects vegtables like onions and tomatoes. Basically diseased veg.. Why would Doritos put this abbreviation on the front of their salsa dip? Is it a secret symbol to warn other people in the elite / illuminati / secret societies to avoid the product? A whole tomato with this disease would be immediatley noticable, but nobody would know if it was mashed up into a salsa dip!!.. Population control and all that. Or am I crazy? Before anyone dismisses this please check out this link and click to a pic of the packaging and click it to enlarge, hopefully you can notice the hidden symbolism. Type I Y S V into google and you will see what it is.. Coincidence? Illuminati? I'm not sure. It's freaky to say the least.

Firstly, welcome to The League of Reason.

I have several issues with your post.

1) Allsorts are a type of sweet (or candy, if you prefer). You can ignore this point.
2) I don't know what you mean when you say "Illuminati"; are you referring to the nebulous, could-be-anyone-with-a-modicum-of-power, conspiracy theory go-to boys? Some group claiming the mantle as the genuine successors?
3) What do you mean by Illuminati symbolism? Pyramids and all-seeing eyes? If so, I have a bridge in San Francisco I want to sell. Those symbols have existed longer than the Freemasons, the Illuminati and the Knights Templar.
4) Please read this wiki article.
5) The "letters" IYSV are not letters, but a reinforcement of two things: the Doritos triangle symbol (behind the brand name Doritos and representative of the snack itself), and the freshness and vibrancy of the ingredients being pierced (if you look, the lines which you term letters are in fact spread across the tomato and the pepper, and continue into the background in light green; you convieniently neglected to take that into account). Triangle > Sharpness > Tang > Fresh. You state that the marks have no relevance to either the crisps or the dip, but you didn't take into account the relevance to the brand itself.
6) Population control and all that... what? You are expecting us to have the same cultural reference points as yourself. Please expand on what you mean here.

In summary, no I don't believe it's freaky, I believe it's bollocks.

You're entitled to believe it's bollocks. I'm not saying it's true, I'm putting it out there to see what people think. Yes, I see what you mean, I took a closer look and it does look like it's being pierced. "representative of the snack itself), and the freshness and vibrancy of the ingredients" you sound like a great lover of doritos, do you have a share in the company?.. Population control is keeping the number of people on the planet at a certain level to avoid over-crowding. Also to keep the average mortality age down so as to keep a young population and not need to pay out pensions etc. Enjoy your salsa dip hector!

Why thank you. As are you for your unverified assumptions.

No I'm not a fan and no I don't own shares. Is jumping to conclusions a habit, or did you take my comments a mite too personally?
Population control is keeping the number of people on the planet at a certain level to avoid over-crowding.

I understand the term, I wanted examples to justify your use of it.
Also to keep the average mortality age down so as to keep a young population and not need to pay out pensions etc.

[sarcasm]I thought conspiracies were supposed to be nefarious, not practical.[/sarcasm]
Enjoy your salsa dip hector!

You brought it here; it isn't mine, Sandra!

As a graphic design/illustration bod, I could point out that those black lines are there to accentuate the effect from the nacho impacting the tomato, in an attempt to denote the qualities of the dip.

I could also point out that people are prone to seeing meaningful patterns where they don't actually exist. I may venture to mention that this is a load of tinfoil hat wearing nonsense, but Prole has covered that pretty much anyway.

I might highlight that IYSV is not transmittable between plants and humans.

I could shed light on the fact that "hidden symbolism" isn't that well hidden if some random can spot it on your average Doritos jar with the same ease that he could wipe his own arse.

I may very well touch on the fact that the proposed notion of poplation control is a poor man's Logan's Run, only less believable.

I could do those things. So I did.

Okay okay, you have both made a good point. I'm not a weirdo wrapped up in some fantasy world of conspiracies as some people are, maybe it's too many nights and too many beers at my friends house looking on the internet and watching too many youtube videos on new world order and all of that. The doritos thing is something I had noticed and although logic tells me it's nothing, from all the nights of conspiracy theories maybe I thought there was something more to it.. It's difficult ot separate fact from fiction, however, yes the internet is full of bullshit and lies. Naive me. Prolescum maybe I did take it as a little personal jab there. You're right tho. Anyway, thanks for yer replies and thoughts!..

Watch this space.

I do come across as... very dry sometimes.

It's what I love most about you!

Also, newguy13, may I commend you on your maturity concerning this. Many people would not be so willing to hear other people's opposing viewpoints, so I take this as a sign that you'll be a good addition to this forum, welcome! :)
