Thank you so much.

Saw AronRa's blogpost, I'm really grateful it was saved.

Long Story: I don't check the email this account was tied to (since updated) so I didn't see the message about things happening. Had a minor sad-attack when the URL I memorized didn't work, but found AronRa's blogpost.

The URL changed and i have no idea if we can get the co.uk back. Another issue is mailing members you really cant do that easy in phpBB.

The biggest problem is that the top google searches don't link here, but it's not too bad because they link to a forum and Aron Ra's blogpost both of which have a link to here if you read far enough (though the forum is discouraging until the very last post).

Mostly I just wanted to say thank you for bringing it back. As a software dev, I know how tedious version updates can be, and I'm really grateful this forum was saved.

Not everything is 100% at the moment but it works.

Your welcome it was fun to save this website what Aron did not know at the start that we have major issues with the transfer of the co.uk domain name. So we picked this domain to get everything running again. The work that needed to be done was sorting through the database the files i got did not match the database. So i installed a clean phpBB (same version) and opened two times phpMyAdmin viewers and looked at the option table and removed everything that was not in the original install. After that i looked who was highest admin hacked the password and made me admin removed all others etc. It toke weeks from start to end but so fun to do.

I love the "What's new" tag, however, is there a way to clear it without opening up the thread? I do like coming to this forum and seeing that there are new posts, but if I am opening that tab and the threads that have new posts are ones I am not interested in, I would rather just clear that button than open up the thread.

When done reading and you want to set everything to read press the down arrow where it says “Forum” now select “Mark forums read” this will remove the number at “What’s new” tag.

Links in the Rules! and Chat post are dead. Linking to the co.uk domain, I gather you changed domains?

It's .org.uk - and yes we will fix broken links in due course, thanks for pointing them out, we tend to fix them as we go along.

I just fixed a couple of the broken links in the rules, it's fiddly ish so will take a bit more time to fix everything, but we'll sort it :)

The org.uk was chosen because we could not transfer co.uk to the new team. 2 months back the registration was over so i thought i pick the domain co.uk up but the domain was renewed by the old team member.
