I Am In Desperate Need Of Assistance!

Greetings,

My screen name on YouTube is NathanForst and I am being attacked by a group of flaggers. On my last channel these people votebotted all of my videos. That did not shut me up. Then they flagged my videos and got my nathanforst1 channel permanently suspended. I have now created another channel and they are up to the same old tricks. They do not respect my right to freedom of speech and wish to silence me. I woke up this morning to the news that YouTube took down one of my videos. The video in question criticized Islam and defended women's rights. In the video I read out messages that I received from certain Muslim users. Most of them were quite hateful. One even defended the rape of women, saying that women that get raped are at fault because they were not escorted by male family members. The video was favourited by Pat Condell and I guess that is where I am getting the negative attention from. They cannot silence him, so they will take second prize and silence me. Another one of my videos has been flagged so badly that you now have to confirm your birth date to watch it. I received a strike on my YouTube account today and with one more I will receive a two week suspension. One more after that, boys and girls, and the game is over. I will have to make another account. This is becoming ridiculous! Please, I am desperate and losing hope. Unlike other people, I need YouTube. YouTube is one of my only ways to communicate with like minded individuals. If I do not have that, I will be devastated. I am desperate. I require assistance. Please, if you value freedom of speech, help me!

What can be done about the flagging? I would love to help; I have rated, mirrored videos and complained to YT. This shit really pisses me of but I do not know what else to do. :evil:

For a start, you should know that it isn't necesary to capitalize every word in a thread title. Only the first word and proper nouns.

Capitalized words more readily grab people's attention, without appearing obnoxious like all caps do, so while not necessary, it is effective.

It's not like this forum moves so fast the thread would be lost if it didn't have extra attention grabbing feature's in the tittle. It'd stay on top of this subforum for days.

Then I guess it's about as necessary as your criticism of it.

My criticism is necesary because he formatted it incorrectly. Once he fixes it futher criticism will then be unnecesary.

I wasn't aware that there were formal writing guidelines for the title of αn internet forum thread, on what basis do you call his formatting incorrect?

By the way, your spelling of necessary, unnecessary, and further were all incorrect.

Hi Nathan,

Good to see you grace the LoR boards with your presence. I've sees some of your stuff on YT and I think it's pretty good. You might want to bulletmark a couple of suggestions of how we could best help you. Some of us tend to scroll down posts without really trying to read large texts. Yes, browsing happens here.

Personally, I have sent a complaint to YT regarding your account and inquiring why your video's were taken down. I'll add your vid to my faves, although I only have few subscribers.

The last video you posted seems to have been removed by the user. Am I correct in assuming that you removed it yourself?

Never mind lizardboy he's commonly regarded as a useless troll here.

Could contacting the media be an idea? I haven't really thought this through yet, but maybe if the media in a lot of different countries was contacted at the same time about this whole votbotting/flagging shit... I just think that it could be necessary to take this outside of YT. I don't know... any thoughts?

I don't think there are many mainstream news agencies bitting at the bit for this story. I can see the headline, though "Youtuber with 50+ viewers faces annoyance on internet"... Not exactly news worthy, with all the actual events going on in the world.

I ment that the whole votbotting/flagging thing (not just Nathan) could be brought to the medias attention. Aleast we can inform them, if they don't bite, they don't. But scince the religion/atheist debate is kind of high profile at the moment, someone might want to make a story about this.
