How about some women on the panel?

Not that women all have the same views or anything, but it would be nice to hear a woman's perspective once in a while, especially when discussing topics that relate to them especially (for example today's brief discussion on banning the burqa). This came up in the chatroom today (i.e. the desire for a woman (or women) on the panel). It doesn't have to be ZOMGits either (not that I don't like her, but she's not your only option). Or even other YouTubers. There are sceptical bloggers out there who'd probably agree to be guest panelists.

You DO know that we DID have ZomgItsChris on a few shows ago? And even Thunderf00t's (Girlfriend?) friend...

Hopefully this problem will sort itself out in the near future, as the show is going to undergo some major changes pending the opinions of others involved. The recent show's topic was a good'un, but Thunderf00t deviated from the topic 3 or 4 times, including the Burka ban bit, which seemed to neglect the caller's question entirely and present a new one.

I would like to enforce stricter topics and bring different panelists on each week, but I'm not hosting it and have something of a minority opinion on that. In the future it seems likely that the show will take on more of a discussion format with a different panel each week, whilst what is currently the LoR Show (with a somewhat fixed panel) will move to a different channel/name and become a separate project.

Once the LoR show becomes more community orientated, there should be a lot more input from the ladies. As for the current "scientist" show, I expect that to remain pretty fixed.

We have lots of female members of the community here, including yourself, who I think would make excellent panelists on future shows.

I was going to say that his long hair would make him qualify, but then I remembered that Aron and tf00t have long hair and both look like they could crush granite with their bare hands. So I wont make that assertion.

Thanks for the reply AW. Glad to hear that you're thinking about this issue.

On a related topic, (and I'm not sure exactly what you can do about it), I find that the show chatrooms are often quite full of sexist comments, often of the immature type. It's not a very welcome atmosphere for women, and it may end up skewing your audience to juvenile males without hope of expansion into other demographics. LoR isn't alone in this boat. The Atheist Experience chatroom suffers from the same disease.

Welcome to the internet!!!. It's rather unfortunate, but is true of mostly all online communities (there will always be an immature and moronic population)

Regarding what AW said I don't know how happy would I be if the two concepts were to be separated into different projects, put it would definitely be great to alternate between a week of panel discussion on a certain topic, and another week of call-in show
