What's sad is it was a 5-4 vote. While it was a great victory we still have a long way to go.

Go to page 69 (insert knob joke here) for Antonin Scalia's dissent, it's pretty classic.

He starts off claiming, seemingly unironically, that the ability of the Supreme Court to decide something like this robs Americans of their democratic liberties. And it just gets better from there...

Where I live you would have thought the world was ending. I'm so tired of the stupidity it's not even funny. If I have to hear about one more pastor (or elected official) who is gearing up for civil disobedience I'm going to lose my mind. I'm not sure what they have to be disobedient about but hey what do I know? I didn't wake up married to another man this morning so I assumed everyone else who doesn't want to be married to someone of the same sex still woke up single. Apparently in some parallel universe people are being married off and forced into gay sex. Between this and the people who can't figure out why the dixie flag is offensive my facebook feed has been mind numbingly bizarre. The next firefox update better come with a feature to let me to reach through the screen to slap the shit out of someone. I can't believe the internet doesn't have this feature yet.
