Have you been covid vaxxed? Why or why not?

arg-fallbackName="We are Borg"/>
The issue is that people do not know statistics and read scientific papers. Few weeks ago was talking with my doctor and she said that people in the hospital are as follows, people vaccinated are mostly with hearth condition, lungs, kidney disease or other sickness like auto immune. There not many in the hospital that are vaccinated and have an underlying issue. People that are not vaccinated it does not matter ill or healthy they can get it really bad. My nephew is vaccinated and got covid but if he did notice that he was sniffling he would not never know it. Because he works in a hospital they know how and what.

You seem to me informed, level-headed and trustworthy here in your response. I have a strange feeling that you are not lying to me. Thank you for not talking down to me. I am actually less scared of getting a vax now and have made an appointment online to get one next Thursday, because of your post.

Why would i talk you down vaccination is personal, you need to make the choice. One advice if you have allergies please ask your doctor if you can take any vaccine or that you’ll need a specific one. A friend of mine needed from one company only because of allergies. One tip one hour before the shot if you may have it 1000mg paracetamol then 6 hours later 500mg and then 1000mg before sleep (only take this when you can handle this much paracetamol). The only thing i noticed was where they jabbed me a bit sensitive after a day nothing at all, not even a stiff arm.

What people forget is that vaccines are the only defense against viruses that really work in high percentage.

I unfortunately am unable to get it for the time being, for a couple of reasons. My immediate family has a general distrust of doctors – they're not antivax; I've been vax'd for other things before, and I explicitly asked to get some other vaccines in the future with no amount of blowback. Current COVID vaccines will also likely put me out of action for a time. Time that I need to be active to help the said immediate family with our job, which is quite low risk as far as exposure goes. Short of finding a substitute to help my family get paid, I'm not willing to put myself out of action that long while we're relying on each other to this degree.

I do actively want a COVID vaccine, though. When the time comes to get one, however, I'm not entirely sure which one's the best one for me...

"I just haven't bothered. I live alone, work alone and very rarely come into close contact with strangers. Just my life. "

Quoting what I wrote isn't the same thing as answering the question I asked you. You think people who live remote and are self employed must by necessity be autistic? I don't think you know what autism is.

One problem now is that in the US and in other countries, your vax status is used by others to identify you as either "friend or foe". Wearing masks and lockdowns and forced vaxxes are now political issues. Not health issues. 95% percent of the people couldnt even tell you what a virus is. But there is known psychological phenomenon of crowd formation at play, compounded by the usage of opinion polls used by our leaders in democratic societies.

You are the unvaxxed enemy Jew and HWIN and desertphile are the Nazis. Its not that they care if you work alone. They just need you to not be an unvaxxed Jew.

I'm fully aware of the implications of the question he asked, which I answered with a "no" - I then went on to enquire as to why my being autistic or otherwise is in any way relevant to the topic and I'm still waiting for an answer to that question. Random off topic bollocks is, well, exactly that, random off topic bollocks. I wonder if he's been tested for HIV?

Why do people always compare something with Jews or with Nazi’s, it’s completely different. Where talking about a disease that has the potential to get people sick real fast and for long term vaccination is the only thing that helps against it. Just like these https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/parents/diseases/index.html and these https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/parents/diseases/forgot-14-diseases.html 14 aren’t as dangerous anymore because of vaccines. Smallpox for example is gone its only stored in labs its insane that we can control a virus in such way that its gone. The internet has been a blessing and a curse, blessing because we can communicate all around the world, but a curse because of anti vaccination. In the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s if you needed vaccinations and you where not sure you talked to your general practitioner. You did not talk to strangers at all.

BTW, I’m all for mandetory vaccination at this point the impact is just to high on lives. Hospitals are overflowing and regular care is canceled because of people that are not vaccinated because of there selfish actions others can get no care. If you can’t be vaccinated because of health or allergies that’s fine but what’s not fine if you are doing it because of complot thinking. Like vaccination is tracking us with nanotechnology like wtf but you are walking and driving with a mobile phone all day that can be tracked easily.

I still need to wait for booster shot and this is how it goes, when i get my papers i call my doctor and ask if i can get booster shot its then either a yes or no. My doctor knows me and the conditions i have so she knows best.

I haven't been vaccinated and I don't plan to be vaccinated. Anecdotally everyone I have known or people that I have talked to say they know people that have tested positive for Covid regardless or in spite of being vaccinated.

I work at a gun store and federal employees such as soldiers that work their part time are required to get the vaccination in order to maintain their commissions in the U.S. military. Every single one of them have tested positive and had to call out due to catching Covid. I have no idea what vaccine they took but it seems to me that it is highly ineffective from my perspective.

I have never contracted Covid and I have been tested multiple times. I am around the elderly and various people at my two jobs and when I feel terrible and have a fever I go take the covid tests. Not once have I been tested positive for any variant. My 90 plus year old grandmother is unvaccinated and she has never contracted Covid and it in common circulation with the public being a teacher.

I find problems with the vaccinations noting this information. I am not sure to chalk this up to random statistical improbability or something not on the level happening with the vaccines. It would be nice if they worked and you didn't need a booster. So far I don't think its very effective noting the drop off of the advocacy of certain vaccines even after taking a booster.

That’s very normal, vaccination is not 100% protective and its how all vaccinations work. But instead of trail and error your body knows the virus and has the correct anti-bodies all ready in supply and can attack straight away. If not vaccinated your body needs to guess what to do so high fever or lower body temperature etc etc. But people that are vaccinated can still die because if they are high risk like hearth condition etc or like me (Addison disease no stress hormones) they still need to be careful. That said people not vaccinated in good or bad health are high risk when they get sick.

I got Covid in 2020 was very sick, my nephew got it a few months back and because he works in a hospital the rule is when having a cold you test. He tested positive but he is vaccinated and he said it was just like a cold for him. This is how it should be if we need to live with covid just a cold/flu like this is how we get to normal. If we are lucky we can eradicate the virus just like smallpox.

Well the circumstances that brought us into this situation are different, but we are the same. The Nazis were just normal people doing what people do when given the opportunity. That is how we are.

I think you have an excellent line of thought here when you refer to the 50's and 60's ect. Hell, even since WW2 the US has been injecting all kinds of vaccines into our soldiers without it causing any scandal or apparent health problems. So there is a history that many of us can look back to and be certain about, without being affected by a bias or misinformation.

But

I disagree with much of the rest of your post. You say the internet has been a curse because of, to paraphrase, "Anti-vaxxers spreading misinformation". But surly, at least, you must admit that from the very start. our elected rulers, publicly funded health organizations and government approved media sources have all been engaged in a widespread misinformation campaign concerning Covid19 and the vaccines.
Just a few examples of their bullshit;

If you get the vaccine, you won't get Covid

The vaccine doesnt get into the blood

There's no way Covid was created in a lab

If it was created in a lab, we didnt fund it.

Fetal cell lines arent involved

Their will be no mandates

Television news networks in the US STAGE fake video footage, broadcast fake stories all over the country and say "Look at what's happening because of covid-19!" They have actually been caught doing this. Think about that for a minute. Why are they allowed to do that?

Why was so much time spent telling us that covid didnt come from the Wuhan lab anyway? I would not have even known there was a Wuhan lab if the Director of the NIH wasn't trying so hard to assure us it didn't come from there. Meanwhile no ones arranged a database for the real doctors who have actually treated covid since the outbreak in Italy, to use so they can compile and share information with each other around the world and develop treatment protocols. Doctors with proven histories in research would all be labeled as "quacks" overnight, for speaking publicly on methods of pre-hospitalization treatment. And when they tried talking about it on social media, they got censored, banned, deleted ect.

And to this day, there still is no preventative treatment protocol for a person who tests positive for Covid. Not even for the people who are actually at risk of dying from it.

So I would say our "pro-vax leaders" have done their fair share of damage with their spreading of mis-info and blatently suspicous behavior. What MORE could they have done to deter people from trusting them?

Hospitals are overflowing

Where is this true? It's a serious question because my wife is currently assigned to an empty covid icu. This is in one of the largest cities in Europe. They have zero patients. Is there an actual database in the public domain where we can look up how "full" a hospital is and with what kind of patients and so on?
and regular care is canceled because of people that are not vaccinated because of there selfish actions others can get no care.

This can't be true. Yes regular care has been canceled in Europe. And you can't get a vein sonogram(which my wife needs, to get checked for blood clots) in Germany, now. Not even if your willing to pay for it with your own money (weird huh?) But it cant be because the hospitals here are overflowing with the unvaxxed(zero patients.)

If you can’t be vaccinated because of health or allergies that’s fine

No No No No NO!!!! ITS NOT FINE! Don't you even dare say that! It's not "Oh that's fine". If you are susceptable to having an adverse reaction to the vaccine and you are lucky enough to know it, you will still lose your job. And if your unlucky enough not to know it, then you are fucked anyway once you've taken the vaccine.

There's no magical fairy that's gonna make this all better, just by you saying "oh that's fine".

I still need to wait for booster shot and this is how it goes, when i get my papers i call my doctor and ask if i can get booster shot its then either a yes or no. My doctor knows me and the conditions i have so she knows best.

You are lucky to even be able to still talk to a doctor. Good luck.
