Has anyone here seen an alien or an UFO for real?

Unfortunately, I haven't.

But I have an elderly distant family member, a teacher lady far from sci-fi or supernatural realm, who spoke to us very privately of an experience back in the '90s of an UFO sighting, and never went out of family with it being afraid of ridicule.

There are a lot of us here, various backgrounds and age and observation opportunities. All anonymous. CMDR XYZ. No one will investigate you, make reports for your employers or superiors, it won't affect your promotion nor will question your sanity.

So, does anyone here have a real life UFO/alien story?

Well, I've seen flying objects I couldn't identify, yes. But I'm sure that's not what you mean.

As for aliens, no.

As someone that has been a life long seeker of the paranormal, I can say that I have never seen an alien. Perhaps I have seen a few lights in the sky that I could not identify, but nothing that I would believe to be paranormal.

My friends and I were what can only be described as varying degrees of inebriated to very inebriated. We were in a field with excellent visibility and the only light for a mile or more in any direction was the remnants of a camp fire a good distance from us (150-200 yards). Having said that we all saw what was a relatively low flying craft that zipped from one point to another at speeds and changes of direction that I wouldn't ascribe to today's fastest and most nimble craft. It was large as well. I would guess close to 150 ft or more from one end to the other. With the ability to stay in one spot for several seconds at a time. It pulsed bright blue lights but also went dark for a couple of seconds at a time. Not a steady flash. It didn't make large amounts of noise like I would expect from something like an F-16 or C-17 which I've been at similar distances to. A few years before this we had a military exercise that flew C-17's at very low altitude over my house without lights etc. and the town flooded 911 with calls etc. so I've seen those types of things up close. This was similar yet very different as well. We often talk about it when we meet up some 20 years later. Joking about the aliens we saw. Do I think it was a "UFO"? No. Was it something any of us could explain? No. Do I think there are aliens visiting us? Probably not but I don't think it's impossible.

Sitting on an East coast Australian beach 20 years ago, an hour before dawn I saw something in the sky. It was far away and barely visible, but the outline was very unusual and, as I watched it come closer, I could make out the structure of what appeared to be an oblong craft with long flat wings that seemed to 'flap' up and down very slowly - it was distinguishable mostly because it seemed that the corners had softly illuminated lights. The person I was sitting with could also see it. We sat watching it in awe for a good hour until it was nigh on overhead, but as the sun rose, it's almost like it disappeared.

Tired, we were both about to leave when I faintly heard an incongruous sound. The sound was the honk of geese. Scanning the sky again, I found the 'UFO'... it was actually a skein of geese with white bellies which had been reflecting the dawn sun from over the horizon from over perspective, and our brains had filled in the gaps turning the space between the geese into a solid object.

Whenever I hear a UFO story, I always think about this moment because... if I had left just a minute before, or not happened to hear that tell-tale honk... I am sure I'd have spent the rest of my life convinced I'd seen some alien technology.

I think my skepticism was largely born that day.

I used to suffer from Sleep Paralysis quite frequently. Then I would see the typical tall thin grey aliens and the short fat blue ones. Sleep Paralysis is a very terrifying experience if you dont know what it is and it happens to you. Thought I was losing my mind.

Later I realized I was just imagining aliens I have seen in movies. Also started seeing aliens like from the movie "Alien" and "Predator". After I learned about what sleep paralysis was, I could understand what was happening while I was that state and soon afterwards I quit suffering from it.
