Not a big deal, just fyi...

The blogTV fundraiser advertisement at the top of the main forum page is obfuscating the Forum Views drop down menu list. It is easily worked around by using the drop down from a sub forum. Just thought you might like to know.

Hi,

I can't replicate this in Firefox, what browser are you using?

I am using Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 8
Okidokely, I will fix that tomorrow :) Thanks for bringing it to my attention. It's funny nobody brought it up the last 2 times I've had that timer up :)

Maybe it is just me.

Just to be clear, I am not writing about the small timer used for the "League of Reason Show" in the upper left, I`m writing about the full width banner advertising the DPR BlogTV MSF fundraiser that appeared a day or so ago on the board index page.

The advert shows up when using this url: http://forums.leagueofreason.org.uk/index.php (board index)

But does not show up when using this url: http://forums.leagueofreason.org.uk/viewforum.php?f=1 (league of reason site)

Something else worth noting is that for me there is no banner at all. It's just a long number that counts down every second-like how it was briefly with the Okse banner yesterday, only without an actual banner.
I'm using Chrome.

EDIT: looks fine in Internet Explorer, but other chrome users might just see what I am seeing and ignore it.

Yeah I've tested it in IE8 and have replicated the problem. Will fix it tomorrow, it's probably just a css z-index problem.

ctrl+refresh

I've tried it in Chrome and it's fine :p It must be cached or something.

No problems in Chromium or Firefox 3.6.9 on linux. Doesn't show up in my text browser, but it's not meant to so... :D

Fixed :) You may have to do a hard refresh (CTRL+Refresh) to see the changes.

Just FYI if you are interest:

The problem is due to a BUG, yes, a bug in IE (unheard of I know /sarcasm), where when you make something have a relative position it resets the stacking order to 0. The banner was also set to relative position (so the counters could be positioned absolutely inside the banner) and so the stacking order gets reset to zero again and the banner ends up on top of the layer the dropdown menu should be on.
