This year on E3 all three big console makers announced their new or upgraded motion sensing systems.

Probably the coolest of them came from Microsoft - Project Natal

Nintendo upgraded their existing system with Nintendo Motion Plus addon for WiiMote

And last, but not least, Sony Motion Controller

Now, based on what we have been shown, which of them would you choose?

I'm a PC gamer, so 4th option FTW. But if I would have to choose:
Natal - seems very cool, but I greatly doubt precision of that system.
Nintendo - well, motion sensing might be good, but that console is piece of crap.
Sony - wow, well that's some precision, and this one comes with real console. As a matter of fact, I think this is the only system that could be used for real gaming, not just tennis and stuff like that

So, to conclude, even tough I would choose XBox as my console, PS3 system is the one I like the most. If XBox can deliver respectable precision in real world situation, not just well lit room with white walls, then great, but I doubt that.

I gotta say that this stuff looks really impressive, and while I'm a PC person it might even be enough to get me to buy a console.

omg the sony has so many applications that could truly revolutionize the gaming industry and finally put that bluray to use... wow.... microsoft may have some competition soon.

Gaming with motion sensors are redicilous. Until they find a good purpose for it, and make it accurate enough, I won't ever feel the need to use it.

I am definitely most excited about Natal. I am quite sure that this version of it will suck, but it is exactly the kind of thing that will be the precursor to crazy awesome future technology. As this technology improves with advanced voice recognition and truly accurate motion and face recognition, the possibilities for this sort of thing are COMPLETELY limitless. It is pretty darn cool... Is the technology there yet... not quite... it will undoubtedly be somewhat frustrating often.

The Sony thing is probably going to be a better gaming experience right out of the gate, but I'm definitely more excited about v2 or 3 of project natal.

I don't think taht PS3 precision even can be achieved without some kind of active device in hand. I mean all the rotation and stuff. Plus buttons for pistols and stuff like that. Dunno. I still think Natal is just for party gaming with grandma, while PS3 could really be used in more serious game.

as a ps3 owner its my natural choice, furthermore as a devout microsoft hater i cannot say anything on that

as additions onto consoles this really isn't that impressive. The motion detection if refined could mean that we will get real integrated computers. The biggest problems are being solves pretty quickly.

I'm afraid I don't really see the point in all this. Looks more like Microsoft and Sony are trying to cash in on the "casual gamer" profile becoming so readily associated with Nintendo. I'd personally be more happy if both companies left it to Nintendo and, instead, tried to create something else more associated to their respective fan-bases - meaning I can't see "Halo-luvers" and "Killzone-legends" flailing their arms around in front of a TV screen.

the arms moving would help to increase your overall calorie use so does count as exercise but very large amounts of time would need to be played to count towards proper exercise.

Also im a KILLZONE - LEGEND and i love killzone but it would suck if it was like red steel but red steel ROCKS.

That sony one is what I thought the Wii was gonna be befor it came out. Instead you had to make a single motion that triggered a preset animation or you could aim. If I could play a game like Devil May Cry by using sony's motion sensor controler (which, quite frankly, looks amazing) then I would definately give that shit a try. Until then I'm sticking with the joypads.

I am all for the girl talking to "sarah".....

Oh, err... I think they all probably suck for gaming**, however I think the xbox one (if it delivers (it won't)) is by far the most likely to actually change things, namely it has the potential to change computing itself (think "minority report" computers). As such I'm not sure if I should vote for normal input or xbox project...

**someone already mentioned trying to play DMC with the sony one, but the allure of DMC is that you can do insane things with levels of precision that you can't get in real life. As soon as you put a sword in clumsy hands of gamers it's not a terribly interesting game, it becomes people just wildly flailing, and even if they can get the finesse of a fencer it's probably vastly more interesting to actually fence where you have things like actual force feedback.

Or in the case of the xbox project, no one wants to pretend to be a skateboarder, what people want is to get the feeling of being an awesome skateboarder, and the tony hawk games do this by allowing you abilities you can't dream of obtaining in real life by taking away a ton of control from you the gamer. Giving that back to the gamer will be boring.
