So I went on to the stupidly named DrDino website (kent hovinds site) and I posted this comment. And left my phone number in case somebody from the creation science evangelism deal decided to give me a ring so we could MAYBE talk about some things. I'm sure a lot of evangelical sheep write comments and get calls just praising jesus and all that but I thought it was worth a shot. Perhaps I would be able to debate with them online or by phone. Hello. I have noticed that Eric Hovind and Kent Hovind commonly use the exact same arguments. I wanted to ask a few questions regarding the arguments that are made.
Specifically about evolution- You say that evolution is not a science but instead it is a world view that promotes self indulgence and all that. You also give six interesting definitions of evolution; most of which nobody really uses or even consideres evolution. For instance you have steller evolution which is the "evolution" of the stars, or organic evolution which is the "evolution" from nonliving matter to living matter.
Are you aware that you have the definitions completely wrong? You do. There is no denying that- you can look them up. You are making up definitions that nobody uses and then try to argue against them. Evolution stats that we all came from a common ancestor by descent with modification through natural selection. Period. That's what it is. It is NOT a world view and I don't know why that is constantly being said. You keep saying that if you believe in evolution, you must believe that life came from a rock. Those things, not only is the rock part wrong on multiple counts, have nothing to do with each other. If you are talking about how life originated, it is "abiogenesis" not "organic evolution" or whatever you call it. Please stop getting that confused with evolution because if you want to "save" some people, it would really help if you use the right terminology and at least appear like you know what you are talking about.
Cosmic evolution, or whatever you claim the beginning of the universe is, is not any form of evolution. The big bang is apart of cosmology and I know you love to attack that but you would be much more effective if you understood what the big bang really was. It was not an explosion like you keep saying, in the sense that it went boom and all the pieces flew everywhere. There was no "dirt" swirling around really fast that exploded. There was no "angular momentum" for the planets to violate. The big bang was an expansion of space time itelf. I do not know all of the details because this aspect of cosmology is still being researched. However if you want to appear like you know what you are talking about, it would help if you actually do some research and figure out for yourself what the big bang is; or figure out what evolution really is and how it differrs from abiogenesis.
I understand you intentions of wanting to spread your religion. That is fine. If the religion part makes people happy, fine. However, you are being detrimental to society by spreading around all of your ignorance- your ignorance about things that you so clearly chose not to research yourself. Please do your organization a favor and start producing some real evidence, definitions, and real arguments.
