Normally, I'd be inclined to warn against hyperbole, but I know you and, more importantly, I've seen a lot of the field, and I can't disagree.

And I think you know that, except for comedic purposes, I am much more inclined to overly cautious, much qualified statements as much expressing my degree of confidence as asserting that my contention is true or valid.

But in this regard, I'm afraid he's just stunningly thick. There's no one so stupid as those who won't learn and refuse to grow.

Greetings,

now so far water taking shape of vessel when it is poured in it goes, so if we put rose flower with mango tree or something else in same enviourment like mango or others are kept in than why it doesnt change into something else ? and give us mango trees ? did you ever seen rose plant giving mangoes ? what is your answer ? even not single rose plant is giving us another fragrant flower bisides rose flower. why ?

Over a long period of time - lots of generations - small changes will accumulate into large changes.

As a result, one species can give rise to others, as I explained in my previous post, where I explained how fish can give rise to amphibians, which then give rise to land animals.

Plants change over long periods of time, depending on the environment.

They rely on various means to pollinate, and spread their seeds.

The earliest flowers relied on the wind to blow pollen to other flowers of their own species to pollinate them (plant sex).

When insects evolved, species of plants evolved to use insects to pollinate other plants of their own species - like bees, etc.

When birds evolved, species of plants evolved to use birds to pollinate other plants of their own species - like hummingbirds, etc.

When animals evolved, species of plants evolved to use animals to pollinate other plants of their own species - animals brushing against certain plants would have burrs (seeds that stick to anything that brushes against them) stick to them until these stuck to something else, and began to grow.

These are all examples of how various species of flora evolved.

and besides this i have one more question that does pouring water into vessel also takes some very long time ? if not than how can you compare with this evolution ? huh? because pouring water takes very little time yet you said that evolution happens in very long time ? so your pouring water is not practical at all because one room or species never turns into another room,

Pouring water into a vessel was an analogy (सादृश्य) to try and explain how the environment (vessel) shapes species (the water).

The fact that pouring water into a vessel takes a short time whilst evolution takes a long time does not change the fact that the processes are similar.

That's the point of an analogy - to explain processes.

its the only person or soul who can go to one species or room and take the shape of vessel.

Again, that's your belief.

You would have to prove that the soul exists first before making that claim.

so do tell me that how long it takes pouring water into vessel ? some million upon million years ? if not than whatever nonsense you are talking is not practical.

It's an analogy - it makes perfect sense to compare the two. One takes a short time, the other takes a long time - the process is the same in both cases.

im also very happy to discuss things with you. im not lost at all. but you clear it out that how long it takes to pour water ?
A short time - but evolution takes a long time.

That's the only difference.

The environment (vessel) shapes species (water) - that's the key to understanding evolution.

I'm astonished that in all the time you've been on the internet - never mind throughout your life - that you've never learned/realised that evolution takes a long time (over many, many generations).

Kindest regards,

James

He's had this explained to him in spades, by you, spar, hack and probably others. Your efforts to help him understand are commendable, but it's likely he's going to make sure he doesn't understand any of it.

It is, of course, entirely up to you guys how much time you're prepared to invest in his deafness, I just hate to see well informed people have their time wasted by someone clearly intent on consuming as much of it as possible. It's obviously what he feeds on, sapping the time out of others. If he decides to return under his original account tomorrow, when the ban expires, and acts the same way again (almost guaranteed at this point) he is going to be banned permanently, no more warnings, no more temp bans, no more trying to talk him round and get him to act like a grownup. Squish, just like grape, as Mr Miyagi would say.

I suddenly had this image of Tonto explaining why trees have fruits to Andy from Birmingham and now I can't stop laughing.

Tonto four minutes in.

The beauty of having a 100+ word per minute typing speed is that it looks a lot more work to reply than it actually is! :D

Attention trolls like anning actually get flustered when people reply in as much volume as they do!

Anning - before you flap your gums and shake your puny fits in a rage, remember: it's entirely your choice how you behave.

So bye then!

:D

If evolution is true, why don't rooms evolve wheels and become cars?

If evolution were true, there are cars today, so why are there still rooms?

If evolution were true, surely Japanese men would have English babies by having sex with goats?

Weighty questions I am sure we should all reflect on.

@Sparhafoc Bad tactic.
To master the art of trolling, you need to learn how to draw out pages over pages of replies with a one liner. Wasting as much of their time with as little of effort on your part.
For example: "When you're open to something it's like being bacon, and you attract it. ..." Hare Krishna.

It's one that's served me well - it's only used for very special occasions, you understand? With someone this manic and obsessive in their desire to fuck with people, then they deserve to meet someone who'll do it back.

I honestly don't troll, never have and never will. I might be a cunt sometimes (scuse the language), but that's not really the same thing.

You only get a pass for that kinda language, if you are English or Australian!

Especially when it's such well-trodden ground that most of the actual typing of the responses is pretty much committed to muscle memory at this point...

I can type responses to scientifically illiterate dreck while my mind's actually engaged in thinking about whatever I'm working on for the blog, or planning what's next in guitar building.

Guilty as charged, although I've lived abroad long enough I probably should have my national allotment of that word reduced. It's only fair - there are other British people who need to call their friends cunts, and I wouldn't want them to go lacking.

I think we're safe. I'm pretty sure I was personally responsible for a significant deficit, but I've reduced my usage for environmental reasons, so the usage trend of the population is significantly down on previous years.

Greetings,

I'm sure he has - and by others over the years - but if he hasn't grasped this basic concept that evolution takes a long time, then it would explain why he doesn't understand/accept any of it.

It is, of course, entirely up to you guys how much time you're prepared to invest in his deafness, I just hate to see well informed people have their time wasted by someone clearly intent on consuming as much of it as possible. I'm perfectly happy to continue talking to him - as long as his misunderstanding is genuine, and not a case of his stringing me, and others, along by pretending not to understand.

As I said elsewhere, if one's belief-system is so entrenched that you can't accept anything else that disagrees with your beliefs, then that would explain why he's rejected evolution for so long.

Kindest regards,

James

Anning is now permanently banned on his original account, as well as the two sock accounts he's created today.
