As is custom on these boards, it's recommended (although not strictly forbidden) that the two debate participants do not comment in this thread until the debate is over.

Admitting to not knowing how to measure "information," but still claiming that evolution can't make it increase.

And my favorite complaining about "assumptions" of evolution but avoiding talking about how those "assumptions" can be verified.

Don't forget the goalpost shifts, false equivocations, use of lay dictionaries but rejection of scientific definitions...hmm what other dishonest tactics has Bernhard.visscher used...?

It might be interesting to see how long hackenslash holds his cool. I will give him a lot of credit if he can keep from vomiting at the things that Bernhard says. I'm just wondering how you even prove evidence works when the person you are discussing with rejects everything out of hand and than lies about your claims. The fact he won't even accept the current definitions held by science and doesn't understand that just because a model had mistakes and was revised doesn't mean it wasn't scientific at the time it was the current model. He seems to think that a dogmatic model that doesn't change with the evidence is science while an up-datable model that changes with the evidence isn't. This will make it an uphill debate, but at least anyone honest viewing it will see how horrible Bernhard's arguments are.

I would think it would be pretty obvious at that point with hackenslash when he starts getting insultive, but as we all know common sense only applies to common experience. Though based on his own statements in setting this up he'll behave, and since he's tying to show how disingenuous Bernhard.visscher breaking that promise will give the pigeon it's chance.

I think end of the day it'll still be an effort in futility since Bernhard doesn't even understand the definitions and that gives him more than enough room to hide and dance and dodge the evidence. How can anyone have an honest debate if your opponent is going to pretend that what you are saying isn't what you said. Just like the whole thing that made hackenslash take it up, Aronra's statement that he can't "just" present the evidence. We all know, and anyone who read any of the posts before that would know, that what was being stated was that just presenting evidence doesn't mean anything without the background to show why the evidence is evidence. If you can use any definition you want for evolution, macro/micro evolution, species, "kind", leg, etc. than you'll never have a meaningful conversation.

I'm wondering if this will be more of a train wreck than trying to read the dandan vs. Inferno debate, at least from the point of view of the creationist came to a battle of wits unarmed.
