So I just saw the first episode of the new season of Dexter, and wow.

I'm not sure where the writers are going with it, but it comes across somewhat clumsily I think.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Just want to say, with the season over(only just remembered this post)

I was really pleased with the way the season went. My fears were never realized, at least not the ones voices here. And the cliff hanger at the end of the Season is arguably better than Season 4's. In short, it was AMAZING

I loved the season, and I think they actually treated religion fairly.

Not just by showing how it can be used for both good and evil, but by showing that it is indeed a deeply individual thing - thus also basically demonstrating that there is really nothing divine about religion; it is entirely man-made.

And while Dexter is often slow to catch up on these weird things that "normal" humans run around doing, I feel he caught up pretty quickly with the above mentioned fact, even if he was somewhat naively dazzled by Brother Sam early on in the season.

But yeah, what a cliffhanger. And we have to wait like 6 months more to find out what happens.

Ah well, I'll have to comfort myself with Game of Thrones and Futurama until then. :)
