I think this is the second time I'm seeing a person complaining about difficulty in reading posts due to them being colour blind.(people, not posts)

Perhaps we could limit the choice of colours in post edit form to those which are readable to all people?

While we're at it, we could lose those that make you want to puke when on dark blue background such as this? Just a thought

It's not bad in some areas. For instance the colors (or colours for my british friends) used to distinguish forum rank (admins, mods, etc) use a red that I don't have a problem seeing. But the red used in Inferno's post from the thread you reference I can't see without highlighting it. Other colors/colours I have difficulty with are orange/green pink/blue pink/purple combinations. But none of those are a problem on this dark blue background. I have tried hundreds of the color blind tests and most of them I can't see the numbers or lines. According to this test http://www.colour-blindness.com/colour-blindness-tests/ishihara-colour-test-plates/ and http://www.colour-blindness.com/colour-blindness-tests/colour-arrangement-test/ I am at least somewhat red color blind. Which might explain the issue. This of course will vary for others as to what they can and cannot see. I'm not sure you can cater to everyone due to that. But thanks for considering trying to accommodate us.

I cannot see it at all. I had to ask my wife to confirm what it said for me. I have wanted this shirt for years.

I can't read it. These remind me of those posters that are 3D. I never could see those with any regularity either.

Well, the colours available next to the text box when posting are just the standard web-safe colours (colours that one can guarantee will appear the same on any screen). One can use any hexadecimal colour code, however, and I can't control that proactively ;)

There's no apparent setting within phpBB to change them, so I'd have to see if there's a patch or dig into the code. I don't have the time to spare currently, but feel free to remind me to look it up some weeks hence.

I've changed the red in Inferno's post (linked in the OP) to the one we use for Admin colours; hope that helps somewhat. Oh, and the hex is #FF321B.
