CNN's Stupid Freekin Polls

Last week I began to get completely fed up with the way CNN asks poll questions. They posted a story about an archeological dig that "may or may not" have uncovered some obscure old site. Then on the polls they asked if we believed it was the actual site. Today it asked,

Do agree with Ron Paul that it's OK for state officials to talk about seceding from the union?
Yes or No

What the hell? of course it's okay to talk about shit. Discourse is what gets things to happen. Some days they ask other stupid things that really should be left up to experts. Their poll questions are really lacking imho.

Well, it isn't "ok" for state officials to be considering treason, which is what we're really talking about. .. at least for a certain definition of "ok". What does that question even mean? Are they asking if it is legally permissible to talk about it, if we approve of the use of free speech in this instance, or if we approve of treason?

CNN should have been able to find at least one person who took some college-level English, who could write their poll questions so that they aren't open to pretty much any interpretation you want to apply.

A minor point, but I think it's kind of ironic that you lambaste CNN for their stupid poll, and your poll asks if they are 'as stupid as hell'. Well I think Hell is pretty stupid but are CNN polls that stupid?. Ah, tough call.

On the other hand, your doing way better than the 'is X good or evil; yes or no' poll.

I was going to make the poll very confusing (more than it already is) to look more like a CNN poll. However, I figured out that it would only be funny to me and everyone else would kinda be like, "Wha..?"
