I'm lifting this from another forum posted by a wonderful chap who I wish would join here, but it's something others here might find interesting!
A group set up expounding on the conspiracy claim that biological birds no longer exist on U.S. soil because the government has replaced them with drones.
I expect this is a poe - as in, not really intended to be taken seriously but to give the impression of being serious - but I think its 300,000 followers on Instagram and 100,000 followers on FB suggest that some percentage of that group actually believe it.
This is of course not at all surprising given how desperately thick some people are, but it is an indication of the great clash we're experiencing today where falsehoods which are utterly stupid but easily graspable become preferred over the much more complicated and difficult to understand real world.
