..., with no surprise to anyone, "for decisive contributions to the LIGO detector and the observation of gravitational waves" to Weiss, Barish and Thorne. It's neat and all but for the last two years there hasn't been any real suspense with who gets the big N. Oh well. Though apart from proving once more that Albert was a genius I don't really know if this means anything outside the physics community.
