Man... would I like to see that episode! :)

I don't watch much medical T.V other than Scrubs and House M.D, and I feel scrubs tries to avoid the controversy, while House M.D tries to be "balanced". While I love House, I often get frustrated when I watch it.

Edit: Oh, and great blogpost! (As always ;))

I believe it is repeated on Living, Wednesday at 8pm if you want to try and catch it. Oh an can I just echo my own personal deep love for House.

Sounds like a compelling episode. It's a very important message.

Sadly, I think more people would believe Jenny McCarthy than the facts. And as we know, even when facts are presented, people cling to their beliefs like a worn out blankie.

Heard a different story from someone yesterday about vaccinations that was nutty. It involved The Illuminati, how we've been sprinkled with a white powder (we're alien food), and the only way to activate the powder is with vaccinations.

It's no wonder there are those who think some are worshipping science. This is what it would take for them to step up.

I feel stupid I never realized there was an anti-vaccination movement.
How ridiculous.
Thanks AW

Reminds me of an episode of Law & Order: SVU that I saw a while back:

A young woman's (Hilary Duff) baby dies of measles, and this was because when she took her kid to the park to play, there was another kid who had measles, whose mother chose not to get vaccinated against due to propaganda she heard. She didn't care that anyone else could be affected by her not vaccinating her kid.

That's the thing that makes me positively afraid of anti-vaccinationists: they put my child at risk.
Of course, they also put their children at risk but you'll forgive a mum for worrying about her kids first.
The day my daughter was old enough to get her MMRV Vaccination was one of the happiest in my life.
