A Manifesto

Thought I would write out my own manifesto, Its mostly copied from other partys but i've added some of my own views. Anyway have a look and tell me what you think. Go over it with a red pen, like a kind of political peer review.
Animal Welfare: Prioritisation for the protection of endangered species and habitats at home and abroad. End factory farming, stop promoting factory farming abroad and encourage a reduction in meat consumption. We would also ban live exports, and the genetic treatment of animals.
Asylum and Immigration: A welcome to anybody from any nation who is willing to work.
Crime: In Norway the maximum prison term is 21 years, prisoners are allowed jobs in the outside world and are rehabilitate, and Norway has the lowest murder rate in the world. This why our justice system should adopt the same policy. To reduce gang and drug related crime I would legalize drugs. This would take it out of the hands of the gangs, ending the futile 'drug war' that has killed so many and raise taxes for the government.
Defence: Do not replace trident and save millions. The treatment of soldiers is more important then the size of our arsenal, they have human rights and should always have ample equipment and protection.
Democracy: Abolition of the royal family after the death of the currant queen. Buckingham palace will then be used as a 'MP's halls of residence' for MP's living outside London to save the state money on second homes and travel allowance. A 100% democratically elected House of Lords by proportional representation every 5 years. The abolition of Tory's. (that an aspiration)
Economy: REGULATION REGULATION REGULATION! Invest massively in renewable energy and energy efficiency. Provide free insulation for homes, schools and hospitals.
Education: Total Abolition of all faith schools, a universal secular curriculum.
Environment: Transform the energy production landscape by supporting renewable sources, including wind and micro-solar generation. Protect green space and our natural heritage, more national parks and forests.
Equality: No discrimination and no positive discrimination or any kind.
Europe: Adoption of the single currency and a referendum to the Lisbon treaty.
Foreign Affairs: No more expensive state visits for leaders of dictatorships and nations governed by Sharia law.
Local Government: An English parliament to emulate the Scottish and Welsh assembly.
Transport: Re-nationalisation of the railways and massive investment in high-speed rail paid for by taxes and not higher fares, this will create jobs across the country. Clear the motorways of trucks with national freight rail investment. No third runway at Heathrow, no more airport expansion and no Thames estuary airport.

Thoughts?

I would vote for any party with a manifesto even similar to this!
Any chance you could tell us where some of the points came from?

I think it looks quite good. Just a few things:

I am unsure what you mean by "genetic treatment of animals". Are we talking about certain "hybrids" of animals who have been bred simply for huge amounts of meant for example? Like those cattle (forget the name) who don't have legs that can support their fast growing bodyweight. Or am I getting confused?

I am not to familiar with the statistics on this, but a quick question... is this sustainable in the long run?

I am from Norway, and I agree with this point completely. However, I think there are more factors to why the crime rates in Norway are low, and the way you argue for it seems slightly naive, I would just think about rewriting it slightly so using Norway as an example instead of the argument itself.

Maybe you should make this it's own point and explain slightly further. Legalize all drugs? To what degree and in what way?

Not that I'm disagreeing with the point, I just think any party would face a lot of problems having that on it's manifesto.

What is the criteria for faith schools? Isn't this point taking it to the extreme? Wouldn't it be better to make the system so that indoctrination would not take place and that the children had the same curriculum in other subjects as other school? So basicly a christian school would be just like any other school except they would have bible-class and dinosaur-riding lessons on the side? This is also a point I think any party would loose a lot of voters on.

I don't understand this point to be honest, if you could elaborate? :)

And one last thing: Any thoughts on how the budget would look? A lot of these reform looks like they can cost a long, even if they promise a lot back over time.
