While we have no definitive evidence of what lays beyond a black hole I think that some mathematics propose such an idea. I agree that so long as Neil mentions that it's speculative then it's fine to ponder it. The same way that he ( and Sagan) pondered about life elsewhere in the universe.
That's pretty cool. I was wrong then. Still, you would have to propose that every frog had similar characteristics that allowed them to survive at such elevations. As you mentioned as well, this is a far cry from Mr. Everest. Mainly I want to know is how high he thinks the mountains were back...
For the record, I'm new enough to the system that I haven't figured everything out yet.
How high do you think the mountains were back then? Do you think that the Himalaya's, Mount McKinley, and others, got to their current elevations within the last 6,000 yrs or so? Frogs have a less...

No problem. Like I said. I could have phrased that better. I'm a student at UNM VC. Quite a ways away from any teacher position and I don't care much for doing such a thing anyways. Looking at Primatology as my focus but that could always change.
Third on that notion. This might just be an interesting debate. Especially after his last post.
By the way am I doing my quotes right. Every time that I put quote it doesn't show an independent box on my screen.
I agree that shows like that are predictably a waste of time. Though in regards to them jumping at any noise, I think it probably has more to do with trying to make an otherwise mundane show about people walking around and finding nothing into a exciting show about Big Foot being around any...
I had another student in one of my classes last semester that kept asking the age old question ( and b age old I mean tiring) , If we came from monkeys then why are there still monkeys. Definitely no points for originality. Though I suspect that he didn't know any better. To his credit he...
That's a really good point. Though I think that with the possible publicity that Mr. Nye is going to receive he'll have good opportunities to mention shows like cosmos. I have to say that Pat Robertson's admission was the most surprising thing about this debate and if there's one thins that I am...
In terms of impact how do you think that this debate will influence how many see these areas of science? Do you think that people will have a higher interest in topics like evolution or will this hole thing fade to the background and people will return to their comfort zone once the press dies down?
It looks like some alien that you'd find on either StarTrek or Stargate or possibly Star Wars. Oh, and it's sucking. So Jesus is a alien that sucks.
Not sure if any christians would want that on their resume.
How do I attach a signature? I already tried looking at FAQ and when I try it tells me
"The field "Signature" is too long, a maximum of 0 characters is allowed."
Also, How do you send PM's. I see no icon for send message or send PM or anything like it?
