    Why arguments cannot prove God

you can't argue the existence of something. you have to prove it existentially. This goes back to the old logic flaw of arguing about existence as being one of God's perfections, hence he exists. I have always found it amazing that believers can not prove their god exists and then go beyond...

My debate with a you tube Chrisitan

I am having a bit of trouble following this. It seems like there was more prior to this discussion. The article by William Craig is seriously flawed. The fact that he references the forgery in Josephus as some of the "evidence" shows the level of "scholarship" in his article. There are two book...

    fermat's theorem

I did a little more reading on this (which I suspect I should have done first). As far as I can make out, using the modularity theorem to solve Fermat was using geometry but at a far more complex level than I could ever understand.

    fermat's theorem

Hey thanks for the reply. Seeing the concept written out formally was interesting. Yes I am not a mathematician. And unfortunately I do have a degree (not in that field), so I won't be pursuing that when I get older (I am older). I am aware that this was more in the realm of an observation and...

    fermat's theorem

Fermat said no positive integers fit the pattern a^n+b^n=c^n when N is greater than 2. I assume someone realized this before but I just noticed that N can be greater than 2 if the number of elements on one side of the equation is equal to N. In other words for example if N=3, there must be...
