    Final Fantasy IV, V and VI were my favourites, with X in close fourth. Nobuo Uematsu is for the most part a great composer. I'm surprised Grant Kirkhope has come up, he's one of my favourite composers too. The Banjo-Kazooie sound track is amazing, Rusty Bucket Bay in particular...

    Why mannequins scare me

    Silent Hill 2 is the only game I've played and found remotely scary. I fondly remember Condemned (not for being scary) but didn't play the sequel as it received poor reviews. Dead Space is good for a few shocks too, nothing particularly scary but quite a lot of jumpy moments.
