Bob Enyart, a notorious YEC proponent of the hydroplate theory, a fanatical antivax/antimask COVID denier, and a bigot who would literally play Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" while reading obituaries of AIDS victims, died of...
I don't really post here much anymore, and I just now saw this thread. I've kept tabs on SFT and his genetics arguments despite them not really being in my field. The haplogroups issue always felt easy to understand.
Since Nesslig20 didn't share the most recent development here, I will. SFT...
It's okay that I'm in danger of hellfire. You wanted me to go to hell anyways, Bernie. You said it yourself when you said you wanted me to lose my faith. Guess you got your wish.
I just hope I see you there, you self absorbed hypocrite.
My question is why does an employee doing any of this justify the employer beating the poor carp out of the employee's possession. What did the carp do? I mean, look at it, it's innocent.
I actually emailed one of the geologists who reviewed his proposal. I cant post what he said ver batum because I didn't ask for permission. However, he essentially told me that he and every other geologist who actually cares to look at the folds in the rock layers can find fractures in them, and...
Not really. They require something much more extreme than the origin of a new cecal valve. What they require is that we somehow go from some number of kinds (I believe they last said 14,000, but don't quote me on that) to the millions of species we have today, in at best 200 years. And as one...
That's what they're saying. 100% likeness to alligator and ostritch, and the sequences they thought were genuine dino ones were consistent with contamination.
This is pretty depressing if you ask me. I'll try to reach out to Mary for comment.

I honestly feel really bad for Schweitzer's team. These results are pretty damning if you ask me, at least with regards to proteins. Maybe they can still learn how cell structure can be preserved over deep time...
I'm pretty sure that, even then, the rain itself would squelch any flames. And of course, creationists could just claim some sort of miraculous cooling took place to save Noah et al. But then again, they could do the same with fire. Maybe God lit floating logs on fire for...reasons.
I think a bigger issue regarding vegetation isn't so much it's distribution, but it's history. A good example would be the fossil record of fire. A great paper on it is here: https://climate08.wikispaces.com/file/view/Scott2008.pdf
Fossil charcoal deposits are evidently a frequent occurrence...
I think he means those experiments where they can change a decay rate by like, heating the atom up to 2000 degrees Kelvin, ionizing it, then surrounding it in an environment of pure ionized gold atoms or something. Don't have a citation for such an experiment, I've just heard of them before.
Awesomesauce!
Well, here's my question.
In your opinion, what is the finest example of a transitional fossil, and what makes it such a good example? If not a single fossil, what lineage (i.e. land animals to whales)?
Hey guys,
So, things in my life aren't going great lately, and I'm going to be taking a break from here for a while to get things back in order. So you may not see me around much for a few weeks. Or months. However long this takes.
I wish you all the best.
