I've heard stories that Doug Naylor doesn't want to do a series 9 and he wants to jump right into series 10, that way series 9 would be an in-joke about the events during the missing nine years. I don't know if it is true at all, but I'd be willing to go along with that.

Well I had very low expectations for it, so that helped me enjoy it. It wasn't great, but I had a few laughs and I liked the ending.

I just thought the guy was an idiot, I had no idea the guy had this level of insanity within him. It is a truly horrible story. :(
