I was a sporty girl and quite popular with all kids before grade one to two. After that... well... bullying went on through to grade ten. Bullying doesn't magically stop. That is teasing. Teasing might stop, and boyish pranks might. Male on female bullying and physical bullying in my experience...
As far as I understand I was talking about Norway and Sweden, not Panama. Where are you from? Panama? Fine. Guess what? Panama is not Scandinavia. Are you Norwegian? Then stop talking about Panama. Are you Swedish? Then you make no sense. You can't be from EVERYWHERE. And I have no idea where...
1. When I was a kid I was never physically punished. My parents would sit me down and tell me why they were VERY disappointed in me and it made them sad. I didn't want to make my parents sad. Hands on parenting without fear and with lots of trust.
2. I know he's not a retard, I know he's not a...
Maximum sentence that can be handed down is 21 years with possibility of having it extended if at the time of parole coming up he is considered to still be a danger to the public, I believe.
UNLESS they take him on the "crimes against humanity" charge, which is 30 years, I believe.
You can't...
General response here:
1. As I said, it's 21 years standard with the possibility of adding five years to the sentence, indefinitely. Meaning after 21 years they will have a look at him, decide if he is still a danger to society or not and then, most likely, add another five years. After that...
1. They're not soft. He won't get out that early, as I said, they can add 5 more years to it... but the standard is 21 years.
2. The punishment in America rarely fits the crime.
3. Noosing him would be dumb. State sanctioned murder, never a smart idea. AND, he might be able to be rehabilitated...
Ehm, no. That's 21 years. However they can choose to detain you another 5 years if they deem you're still a danger to society, and continue to do so for the rest of your life... rumors has it they want to try and charge him with crimes against humanity to get around that.
So, yeah. Not 21 years...
Size and amount of furniture is pretty standard for a Scandinavian prison, some cells are smaller, of coarse. But most of them keep around that size as far as I know.
It is not a spa/retreat.
You're supposed to be incarcerated to protect society from you, and as a punishment, no? Being...
 That's pretty much how most rooms in long term prison looks like in Scandinavia these days. I don't know why that would be relevant. How did you expect he would be kept?
So what is evil? That is what I want to know. It's a subjective term, and the world is not made up of evil and good, black or white. It's easy to say "he was an evil bastard" or "bad people do bad things". I understand the tendency to do so, but it's too broad of a generalization to be...
Now or always? He wasn't an evil bastard when he was a kid. Quiet, respectful... never bullied or teased anyone.
Did he become evil WHEN he killed these people or was he an evil bastard before that? Do you think he was born that way?
What the hell defines someone as an "Evil bastard"?
1. Christian fundamentalists don't think "science takes an undisputed precedence over biblical teachings". It goes against the things that makes a person a fundamentalist Christian, doesn't it? The bible above all, gods word above all?
2. If you read his manifesto it is quite clear that in his...
For me the discussion that comes forward in a thread is sometimes more important than the intentions of the individual who started it, but maybe that's just me.
1. Well, as far as we know he is not psychotic, and a lot of things point against it. So maybe you should refrain from calling him that? I know the jargon is comforting, but this is not time to be cosy.
2. This is not about obsessing over some insane persons ramblings. This is about realizing...
