Re: Kicked Out For Saying
While I think the whole incident is rather stupid, I can see one standpoint from which the tutor's actions are somewhat understandable. They perhaps felt that the whole discussion was getting out of hand, and the solution was to remove the cause (biased perspective...
GuildWars isn't bad. The game doesn't cost that much (or didn't when I bought it), and there are no online fees. I do think that this shows a bit, but maybe that was because I was already used to WoW. However, I got bored with it fairly quickly, but I know others who prefer it to WoW...*shrug*
Actually I think I remember seeing those headlines. New Scientist, perhaps...
Yes - I am not looking to prove that prayer works, but rather looking for the studies that (seem to) claim it does. Basically anything that would be used by the religius to point to and say "see!".

I guess you might quote Gen 6:4 back at him, asking him how many sons The Christian Deity had...
Of course, he'd probably come back with something along the lines that "son" in this sense is a more general term than when it's used with respect to Jesus, The Christian Deity's only begotten son...

I (used to...lapsed quite a bit now) hit people with (real, metal, blunt) swords twice a week. Plus lugging a tent around, setting up camp, and then mustering in armour before walking onto a battlefield every other weekend in summer tends to keep one in reasonable shape.
I'm switching my focus...

I'm looking for background on the Neanderthal species versus subspecies question. Particularly the rationales used before the mtDNA sequencing evidence. I have a question in my OU course which is asking about it, but it only wants 100...
Looking at the dates, I ought to be able to make it. As with everyone else, it will depend on the cost.
A ,£15 admin fee for ticket refunds makes it sound like they'll be at least double that. Although I suppose I just spent ,£30 on a one-day martial arts seminar...and this is probably of a...
