    If God is omnipotent...

God can never know that this statement is true. clarification: If god don't know of the statement he is obviusly not all-knowing. If god do know of the statement then the statement is wrong and therefore god is wrong hence not all-knowing.

    Motivating Morality

I'd rather view morality as an idéa than a set of evolutionary selected behavorial traits (altough of course it affects behavior in the same sense as lets say religion does). Animals have behaviors altough only a few of them something that could be called 'a moral code'.

    Motivating Morality

Then why dont just contemplate what is to the benefit of the soceity, rather than what is moral? Im sure you can come up with an example yourself, where whats moral is not to the benefit of soceity. Also there is a fundamental difference between rules and morality.

    Motivating Morality

The idéa that moral statements are naturally selected is just silly. Morality changes far to frequent.

    Motivating Morality

I don't want this to become one of these Relative vs. Objective morality thread. As I find that a qite pointless topic. Having that said I still think your post deserves a response. I think we can both agree that some things about morality are objective. An "Evrybody creates their own...

    Motivating Morality

Let us (on trial if necessary) assume that there is one objectively true morality. One true theory of right and wrong. League of reason TV just about atheism?

All the shows this far have had the topic atheism vs. religion. And i must say I don't like the idéa of Leaue og reason becoming just another meaninless youtube atheist show, rather than of reason generally. There ARE countless other eaven MORE interesting topics! What is the leagues opinion?

    Axioms, 'validity' and honest examinations

That is not an axiom. That's a definition.

    What makes us human?

I would say that what is typically human is our tendency to "hide our intentions from ourselves".

    Nihilism

Nihilism will never be a problem for mankind. It's simply too far away from the human nature. Too empty for those in need of faith. Too mush a faith for those who do not.

    The Non-Morality of Theism

What you're talking about is nothing else than the immorality of weakness. These fanatics, wouldn't be able to feed themselves unless you hit them with a whip so why deny them that? To them god is nothing but a slavemaster. What they really seek is revenge, wish is only natural. "Hell are the...
