Well homewrold 2 is obviously stand alone, and I'm pretty sure homeworld cataclysm is stand alone aswell. Now to find my cds of cataclysm, that game is awesome.

Considering the steam group... isn't it easier to set up a event on the steam group apart from mentioning date+time on the forums? Makes things easier as it is time zone independent, and it should give a notification when you're on steam.
