This thread is light hearted and intended to be a bit of fun. But also be deadly serious at the same time. Whilst being fun. And argumentative.

I'll start,

Is it normal to -

Have roast potatoes AND mashed potatoes as part of the same meal?

Is it normal to -

Absolutely.

If anybody but an Irishman answers 'no' to this question, they're being racist.

If you happen, by some imaginable chance, to find another Irishman hereabouts, he'll agree with me. If he doesn't, and you wheel him out anyway, you're racist.

I win. I can have p to four or five different spud preparations on a plate.

Only if you have enough potatoes to both roast and mash - there are minimal limits, you know?

This is coming from experience as my dearest other half cooked a wonderful 'Western' meal today which, aside from the chicken and veg, also consisted of half a potato shared between 3 people....

...

I nobly rose above the grievous insult to my very core - I could have accidentally inhaled that much potato without even noticing.

No True Irishman!

The only person I've ever met who loves potato in quantities I think are appropriate is my Irish uncle who lives in Australia. When I stayed with him, we'd buy a kilo of potatoes to share every dinner, and he loved having the potato-scarfing company too!

Greetings,

I like pineapple on pizza. :(

Is it normal to...

Have deep-fried weenies?

Kindest regards,

James
One of my cycling friends eats corn dogs, deep fried corn meal coated weenies on a stick, when we ride.

Not... enough... potatoes.

No, sorry. I don't follow.
